Ginza, where you can visit famous department stores.

If you walk along Ginza Avenue (Chuo-dori Street), you will find Ginza Mitsukoshi and Matsuya Ginza, and if you head towards Yurakucho, you can walk to Printemps Ginza and Yurakucho Marion department stores. Ginza is also home to many other famous brand stores, so there is no shortage of places to enjoy shopping.

If you want to enjoy a leisurely stroll, Kichijoji is a good choice. Inokashira Park is a metropolitan park that still retains the atmosphere of Musashino, and will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2017. You can take a boat ride on the Inokashira Pond or walk around the pond in any way you like.
In Inokashira Park, there is a paid Inokashira Park Zoo, and there is also a corner where you can interact with small animals such as guinea pigs. It would be nice to take a stroll around these spots.

Yokohama Chinatown is the place you should visit at least once in your life.
Yokohama Chinatown is a classic spot to visit in Yokohama. If you are visiting for the first time, first get a free official guide map at the information center near Choyo-mon (Main Gate). If you're hungry after walking around, it's a good idea to buy and eat the famous meat bun.
The most recommended way to spend time in Yokohama Chinatown is to enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine at well-established stores such as "Heichinro", "Saikou", and "Dai Chin Rou". You can enjoy the unique taste of Chinatown.

If you like Fujiko F. Fujio manga, don't hesitate to come here. It is about 10 minutes by direct bus from Noborito Station, where the Odakyu Line and JR Nambu Line cross.
You can immerse yourself in the world of manga with the exhibition of works with audio commentary, "Kirei na Gian", a corner where you can freely read manga, and the "F Theater" video exhibition room. It's a small museum, but if you like manga, you will definitely enjoy it. Why don't you visit the Fujiko F. Fujio Museum and get in touch with Doraemon, which most Japanese parents have been familiar with since they were children?

Sankeien Garden in Honmoku, Naka-ku, Yokohama, has a completely different atmosphere from the other spots introduced so far. It is famous as a garden where Sankei Hara, an industrialist during the Meiji and Taisho periods, invested his private funds to relocate and preserve historically valuable buildings from Kyoto and Kamakura. It is also known as one of the best cherry blossom viewing spots in Yokohama.
However, the beauty of Sankeien is not limited to spring. You can enjoy azaleas in early summer, irises in the rainy season, lotus flowers and fireflies in the summer, and autumn leaves in the fall. The snowy scenery in winter is also worth a visit.
If you are traveling by train, your parents may get tired from the crowds and climbing up and down the stairs, so it may be better to take a bus or cab. You can also take a sightseeing bus such as the Hato Bus or a water bus, which will give you the feeling of traveling. Make your family trip a memorable one.
