Exit from Shinano Railway's Oshiroguchi Gate at the JR Hokuriku Shinkansen ticket gate and take the stairs or get on the escalator in front of you to go up. The hotel is on the right side of the building in front.

A famous spot of Ueda is the Ueda Castle that once belonged to the Sanada clan. The site has now become the "Ueda Castle Park", which is loved by many people and is a popular sightseeing spot throughout the year.
Bessho Onsen is another popular location, also referred to as the Kamakura of the Shinshu region. Apart from hot springs, Bessho Onsen is also known for the Kitamuki Kannon Temple.

Kitamuki Kannon Temple (Bessho Onsen)
The statue of the Buddhist deity was constructed in 825 to drive away evil spirits. The name Kitamuki (facing north) was given since the main temple building faces north towards Zenkoji Temple. Paying a visit to this temple and also to Zenkoji Temple is said to bring even higher fortune.
