SOTETSU GRAND FRESA TAIPEI XIMEN is conveniently located just a one minute walk from Exit 3 of Ximending Station on the subway (MRT) Bannan Line (Blue Line) and Songshan Xindian Line (Green Line), facing the center of Ximending Town. 滷肉飯 (minced pork rice)

Dough rice is the soul food of Taiwan. It is cheap and tasty, and is considered the king of B-grade gourmet food.
It is a bowl of rice topped with a sweet and spicy sauce made by chopping pork and simmering it with ginger, garlic, octopus horns, and other spices. The flavor is to Japanese tastes, so it has become a familiar dish in Japan. Taiwanese "dough rice" can be rich and fatty, light and lean, or spicy, depending on the restaurant. Taipei residents have their own favorite flavors and restaurants to patronize, and it can be said to be a basic menu item that has taken root in the people's minds.

牛肉麺 (Beef Noodle)

Beef noodle soup is one of Taiwan's most exquisite gourmet specialties. It is a noodle dish similar to Japanese udon noodles, made of wheat flour and served in a broth made by slowly simmering beef meat and bones. While it is a popular street food, it is also widely loved by the locals, as evidenced by the presence of Michelin-starred restaurants.
The noodles vary in thickness and seasoning depending on the restaurant, but can be divided into two main types. There are two main types: "Hong Xiao," a spicy soy sauce-based soup with hot bean sauce and other spices, and "Qing Tung," a salt-based soup with a lighter flavor. They look completely different, so it is best to find a restaurant that suits your taste.

炸彈蔥油餅 (Green onion cakes)

Negipu cakes, also known as "Green onion cakes," are made by kneading a mixture of flour and thinly sliced green onions and baking them into thin strips, and are a popular breakfast or snack dish found at many Taiwanese food stalls. At the "Green onion cakes" stalls, the green onion cakes are deep-fried at a high temperature and served hot. There are two types: normal and with a half-boiled egg, but the one with egg is recommended. The crispy texture of the sticky rice cake and the half-boiled egg is a perfect match, and the taste is addictive. The deep-fried texture makes it a snack without the smell of green onions. Please try this popular dish.

紅豆餅 (Red Bean Cake)

The "Red bean cake" is perfect for eating and walking around. It is similar to Japan's Imagawa-yaki, and its reasonable price makes it a popular, inexpensive, delicious, and easy-to-purchase snack. What will surprise you is what's inside. The filling is so dense that when you hold it in your hand, you can feel its heavy weight. Be careful when eating it, as the filling may stick out. There are many variations on the menu, such as azuki, custard, dried radish, etc., depending on the store. The sweetness is moderate, making it easy to eat.
