Tokyo has a wide variety of commercial shopping facilities, many of which are more than just places to shop and eat. Here we will introduce some of the most famous commercial facilities that first come to your mind when you think of Tokyo! Let's check it out!  (Information as of July 2018)

Tokyo Skytree Town

At the foot of the famous Skytree, there is a shopping facility called "Tokyo Skytree Town".

There are many facilities that you can enjoy all day long, including shopping, dining (Tokyo Solamachi), an aquarium (Sumida Aquarium), and a Konica Minolta Planetarium.

The Tokyo Skytree is the tallest building in Japan, and even if you don't go up to the observation decks (Tenmoko Deck and Tenmoko Kairo), you can still have a lot of fun in the shopping mall. There are also many souvenir shops around you will definitely fall in love with.

Tokyo Midtown

Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi is a complex of 130 shops, a hotel (The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo), and cultural facilities (Suntory Museum of Art). Because of its location in Roppongi, there are many high-end shops, some of which are opening for the first time in Japan, and the overall atmosphere is quite relaxed.

Sunshine City

Sunshine City, located in Ikebukuro, is a complex of shopping malls, a hotel (Prince Hotel), Sunshine Aquarium, and other facilities. It has a long history as a commercial facility in Tokyo and has been in operation since 1978. With an observatory and theme parks such as Nanja Town, it is also a popular tourist destination.

Access: 3-minute walk from Higashi-Ikebukuro Station on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line
    An 8-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station on the JR, Tokyo Metro, Seibu, and Tobu lines.      
             4 minutes walk from Higashi-Ikebukuro 4-chome stop on Toden Arakawa Line.

DECKS Tokyo Beach

Located in Odaiba, "DECKS Tokyo Beach" is a shopping mall that also has theme parks such as Tokyo Joypolis, Madame Tussauds Tokyo, Legoland Discovery Center Tokyo, and Tokyo Trick Art Labyrinth Museum. Because it is located in a corner of the tourist area, Odaiba, it attracts many families and tourists from abroad.
